This article will show you how to add a lead or leads to a plan.

Adding a Lead to a Plan

By adding a lead or leads to a plan, you're initiating a series of automated emails that will be sent to your leads. Plans are Placester's version of drip email marketing, which is a way to nurture your leads and stay connected via email. You have the ability to add individual leads to a plan or you 

Accessing the Leads Tab

First, go to the CRM to view all of your current leads.



Assigning a single lead to a plan

After entering your Leads tab, you can select the lead that you would like to add your work plan to. Let's say you are trying to add a work plan to Charlene's account (below). Charlene is a buyer and will have a Buyer plan applied. You can click her name or email address to access her individual lead dashboard. 



Individual Lead Dashboard

Once you are in the Individual Lead Dashboard, select the Plans tab below your lead's description. 


Adding a Work Plan

Once you have entered the Plans tab, you can select the Work Plan that you would like to apply from the drop down menu.  In the example for Charlene, a potential buyer, you could select the Buyer work plan. Once your plan is selected, click 'Add'.

Adding multiple leads to a plan

You can add multiple leads to a plan using the Bulk Actions Toolbar.   In order to access the toolbar, you will first need to check off the box located to the far left of any of the leads you would like to edit. If you would like to edit all of the leads at once, you can do so by clicking on the top square (located underneath the blue “New” button).

Checking this box next to the leads you would like to attach to a plan, will trigger the toolbox to appear at the bottom of the page.



  Click on "Add to Drip".


 Clicking on this button will open a pop-up window that will list all of your created drip email campaigns.   


Select the drip campaign you would like to use and then click “Save".   

View the Plan Status 

As soon as the plan has been added to the lead, the lead will receive the first email template included in the plan. You can expand the title of the Plan that is applied to view the steps and when they occurred or when they are scheduled for.


Creating and Editing Plans

You are welcome to use the plans that we have available by default, or you can follow our support guides for editing plans or creating new plans.
