What is a Home Valuation Page?

A home valuation page is a landing page that helps generate seller leads. The lead capture form on this page prompts potential clients to enter their home address and some contact information in order to hear back from an agent with a home value estimate.

How do I create a Home Valuation Page?

To create a Home Valuation Page, you'll need to be logged into the backend of your Placester Site. From the backend of your site, click the 3 dots next to the update your site button then click Edit Site from the dropdown

This will bring you to the site setting page, then click Pages.

Once you're in Pages, click the (+) symbol. You will be taken to the page creation section. Here, choose 'Home Valuation' as the Template for the page. Next to page title, input what you want the page to be called.

Page Display Options

Within a Home Valuation Page, you have a few display settings that can be adjusted based on your preferences. You can check off "Do you want to Hide The Navigation Menu?" With this setting, your home valuation page will display your site's header and footer, including your company logo, but will exclude all your menu items.

Once you select "Do you want to Hide the Navigation Menu," a second option will appear that will allow you to hide both your header and footer from the site. In order to hide both the header and footer, you'll need to check the box next to "Do you want to hide the header and footer on the Home Valuation Page?"

Hiding the menu, header and footer is a great option if you plan to drive leads directly to this page through an advertisement or link on social media. This converts the home valuation page into what appears to be a standalone bounce page or landing page, so it will force the prospective client to fill out information before proceeding to your full site.

Suggested Image Size

The suggested background image size varies depending on the display settings you've chosen.  With a banner (if you've hidden the navigation menu and header/footer), the suggested image size 660 pixels wide by 800 pixels tall.

Without a banner (if you've hidden the navigation menu and header/footer), the suggested image size is 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall.

Form Customization

Within the Home Valuation page template editor, you have the option to customize every aspect of this form from the title to the thank you message your clients will receive. The screenshots below display how you can edit this page.

Admin Panel Settings

Front End Key

After you've filled out your Home Valuation form settings, scroll to the bottom of the page and click save. Checking off the box that says "add this page of my menu" will automatically add this page to your site's menu.

What happens when someone fills out my Home Valuation Page?
When someone fills out your home valuation page, they will receive an automatic email from you through a pre-created autoresponder.  You'd be able to turn off or edit this Autoresponder by going to Leads > Plans > Autoresponders. Check out our Autoresponders support article to learn more about these setup steps.

In addition to your prospective client receiving an immediate email upon filling out the form on your home valuation page, you will also receive a lead notification email including the lead's name, address that they are requesting a home valuation for and their phone number.  Like all lead capture notifications, this email will be directly sent to the email address associated with your Placester account.

You'll also be able to see the lead's information by going to "Leads" Tab through your Placester admin panel, clicking on the lead's name or email address and viewing the details within their lead profile.
