The Texas Real Estate Commission requires that all agents and brokers have the Consumer Protection Notice and the Information About Brokerage Services (IABS) forms attached to their website. TREC has provided some tips here.
To satisfy this requirement, in the disclaimer at the bottom of the homepage and any listings pages, there are already two links embedded in the text. These links are not clickable. They have to be copied and pasted before being able to view.
There are a few additional options to consider if you’d like to more readily display these forms:
1) Custom URLs
To utilize the custom URL option, you’ll connect your menu items to each of the following links:
Consumer Protection Notice
Information About Brokerage Services (IABS)
After going into Site Settings > Menu, follow these steps:
- Using the drop down to the left of the 'Add' button, select the Custom URL option and click Add
- In the Label field, type in the name of the form
- In the URL field, paste the link to the form itself
- Click Save

2) JPEGs (photos)
