Managing Your Pages

The Pages list in Site Edit shows every page of your website. It also shows your areas, blog posts, testimonials, agents, offices and lead capture forms. Use it to find a page, copy it, delete it, bring it back, or open its settings. Each change goes into a draft. Visitors see it after you publish.

Open the Pages list

  1. Select Dashboard in the top menu.
  2. On the site card, select EDIT SITE. Site Edit opens with your homepage.
  3. Select Pages in the top bar. The Pages list opens on the right.

Each page shows its title, its address, its type (for example DEFAULT PAGE or CONTACT PAGE) and its status (for example PUBLISHED or DRAFT). Select the title of a page to show that page in Site Edit.

The Pages list in Site Edit

  1. Page settings: Opens the settings of this page.
  2. Duplicate page: Makes a copy of this page and opens the copy.
  3. Delete page: Moves the page to the trash. It is grey on the homepage, because you cannot delete your homepage.

Find a page

Type a word in the search box, or select a filter.

The Pages list searched for the word contact

  1. Search pages and content…: Shows only the pages and content whose title or address contains the words you type.
  2. Filters: Shows only one type of page or content. All shows everything.
  3. In site navigation: Pages that have a link in the menu at the top of your site.
  4. Not in navigation: Pages that exist on your site but have no link in that menu.

The filters are All, Pages, Areas, Blog Posts, Testimonials, Agents, Offices and Lead Capture Forms. With a filter other than All or Pages, the list shows a Content group. Each item in it has an edit, a duplicate and a delete button.

A page that is not in navigation is still on your site. Visitors can open it from a link or a button. To add it to the menu, see Editing Your Navigation Menu.

If the list does not show a change, select Refresh.

Duplicate a page

Select Duplicate page on the page that you want to copy. The Pages list closes, and Site Edit shows the copy. The copy has the title of the page with (copy) at the end, and the status DRAFT.

Change the title of the copy in its page settings. See "Open the settings of a page" below.

Delete a page

  1. Select Delete page on the page.
  2. Your browser asks you to confirm. The message ends with "It will be moved to trash." Confirm it.

Deleting can take some time. While it runs, the buttons of the list are grey. When it is complete, the Pages list closes. Open it again to see the page in the Deleted group.

You cannot delete your homepage. Its Delete page button is grey.

Restore a deleted page

  1. Open the Pages list.
  2. Find the page in the Deleted group. It has the status DELETED.
  3. Select the Restore page button (the round arrow) on the page.

The page goes back to its group in the list.

Open the settings of a page

Select Page settings on the page. The settings of the page open in place of the list.

The settings of a page

  1. Back to pages: Goes back to the Pages list.
  2. General: The first tab of the page settings. The other tabs change with the type of page.
  3. Page title: The name of the page.
  4. Status: Published, Draft, Private or Scheduled.

For the other page settings, see Editing an Existing Page.

Publish or discard your changes

A duplicate, a delete and a restore each go into your draft. The draft bar at the bottom of Site Edit counts them, for example 2 page edits. Select PUBLISH to make them live, or DISCARD to undo all of the draft. For more about drafts, see Publishing and Discarding Drafts.
